Practicing Tai Chi Outside
My Tai Chi classes have been indoors due to the obvious reasons of the weather and the comfort of the floor under feet. Practicing Tai Chi outside can also be very rewarding getting use to different surfaces grass ,concrete the beach etc. My students can gain a lot from practicing outside in the fresh air. This can be challenging at first but they will have more balance. Exposure to the sounds of the wind birds and the healing effects of the energy from the trees. I encourage all of my students to try Tai Chi outdoors and feel the benefits. It could be a few weeks before we get to practice our Tai Chi back in our normal venues indoors due to the pandemic.
All about having the right mix
Tai Chi Health Club is all about having the right mix. I teach my students many ways to move the body. My classes provide health benefits that help heal the body. Some of the movements date back thousands of years but are no longer used. Modern medicine is now the more accepted way. I teach my students ways to self heal through a variety of different forms. Qigong exercises that get results. Many of my new students that have not done Tai Chi before come into my class with minor health issues. After a couple of weeks doing their Tai Chi find a big improvement in their health and well-being. After many years of teaching Tai Chi having the right mix is great for body and mind..

Why Practice Tai Chi – Covid 19 ?
Tai Chi might have a strong effect on the immune system because it manages to bring exercise, relaxation, and meditation together in “one behavioral intervention,” the researchers said. They theorized that tai chi enhances T cell activity by quieting the nervous system’s “fight or flight” response, which can, in certain circumstances, interfere with the immune system.
Tai Chi for the Immune System
Practicing Tai Chi has been scientifically proven to improve the immune system. During a Tai Chi workout, there is a flow of steady, meditative movement and breath that focuses the mind and conditions the body. Experts hypothesize that these slow, gliding movements and controlled breathing combine in a powerful force against toxins and diseases. By bolstering the lymphatic system, the body’s natural defense system, Tai Chi protects against colds, flues and auto-immune diseases.
Research has found that both Tai Chi and meditation have a powerful effect on the mind, cultivating a stillness that serves to increase focus, reduce stress, and boost cognitive skills.

Paida Lajin
When I was in Hong Kong 3 years ago I saw people in the parks slapping their body with hands and with a stick. Most of the people were older with much knowledge of how to heal the body through working on the pressure points and meridians. I did not know until recent findings a form of Paida Lajin is what they were doing.
With so many countries becoming taken over by modern medicines the old Chinese way of healing the body is becoming less and less as we see the pharmaceutical companies take over. The old fashion ways are not passed on to the next generation so it becomes forgotten.
Paida Lajin is a simple way to get rid of blockages in the body working on the meridians and pressure points. I encourage my students to try this simple technique as Tai Chi is already a form of exercise working on the meridians and pressure points and this can only be an extension of their training. Could this book be the holy grail to self healing…
